Hamilton Woods Associates are working with a charity that is looking for a Housing Support Officer to work with males fleeing domestic violence.
Responsibilities of the Housing Support Officer includes:
*Providing housing and tenancy related support to males fleeing domestic violenc
*Identifying their needs and agreeing a programme of support via floating support, telephone support or housing related support.
*Ensuring that the telephone helpline is staffed
*Referring men into the crash pad accommodation and to ensure that they get a high level of support in order for them to move on into more appropriate accommodation.
*Supporting men living wirhin dispersed units of longer term accommodation
*Managing referrals and conducting needs and risk assessments
*Conducting health and safety checks
*Completing inductions
*Ensuring clients adhere to their tenancy agreements
*Fostering joint working with other agencies and services to provide holistic support
*Assisting with benefit applications
Essential criteria of the Housing Support Officer include:
*Enhanced DBS or willingess to undergo one
*Experience with vulnerable clients within a housing support capacity
*UK driving license and access to own vehicle
