Job Description:
Retention Consultant
Red Recruitment is recruiting a Retention Consultant in Taunton to join a not for profit private health-care provider, who is the Which? ’Recommended Provider’ for private medical insurance.
The ideal candidate will be confident building rapport over the phone and via email, have good listening skills and interested in entering a career with progression within the Insurance sector.
Benefits and Package for a Retention Consultant:
*Salary: £28,000 per annum, rising to £29,500 following the probationary period.
*Hours: 37 hours per week, office hours are between Monday - Fridays, 8am - 7pm and Saturdays 9am - 12pm
*Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities of a Retention Consultant:
*Acting as a primary point of contact for retention queries for customers, intermediaries and Healthcare Partners.
*Conducting fact-finds to establish customer demands and needs to secure renewals or to retain cancelled customers.
*Undertake win-back strategies to reinstate cancelled customers, those opting out of auto-renewal or those considering cancellation to secure renewal or to offer alternative options within the companies risk appetite.
*Establish, develop and maintain relationships with intermediaries to support them with renewal/retention-based queries.
Key Skills and Experience of a Retention Consultant:
*You should be passionate about delivering the highest level of customer service
*You will need to have previous experience working in a telephone-based role
*Being resilient is required for this role due to the fast-paced environment and sometimes complex nature of the calls
*You will need to be confident with fantastic communication skills
*You should also feel comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
