About the Role
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Regional Painter & Decorator to support the upkeep and refurbishment of our care homes across the region. This is a varied, hands-on role working in live care environments, delivering high-quality finishes while ensuring minimal disruption to residents and staff.
You will play an important part in maintaining safe, welcoming, and well-presented homes for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out painting and decorating works across multiple care homes
*Complete full room refurbishments, cyclical decoration, and touch-ups
*Prepare surfaces including walls, ceilings, woodwork, and communal areas
*Use appropriate materials and finishes suitable for care environments
*Work sensitively around residents, staff, and visitors in occupied buildings
*Follow infection control, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures
*Maintain tidy and safe working areas at all times
*Travel between sites and manage your own workload effectively
*Report any maintenance issues or potential hazards to management
About You
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of working respectfully in a care setting.
Essential:
*Proven experience as a painter & decorator
*High standard of workmanship and attention to detail
*Ability to work independently across multiple sites
*Good communication and interpersonal skills
*Full UK driving licence
*Willingness to travel regionally
Desirable:
*Experience in care homes, healthcare, or similar environments
*NVQ Level 2/3 in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent)
*Understanding of infection prevention and working in occupied buildings
