Fire Risk Assessor
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Location: London
A leading higher-education organisation is seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessorto join its central safety team and help deliver best-in-class fire safety management across a large, complex estate.
The Role
You will act as a key technical authority for fire safety, providing expert advice and oversight across a diverse portfolio of academic, residential and public-facing buildings.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Undertaking, reviewing and managing Fire Risk Assessments (PAS 79)
*Providing technical and legislative fire safety advice to senior stakeholders
*Supporting new builds, refurbishments and events from a fire safety perspective
*Delivering fire safety audits, inspections and emergency planning
*Facilitating fire drills, incident investigations and training
*Helping to embed a positive fire safety culture across the organisation
Requirements
Essential:
*Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment qualification with 2+ years’ experience or NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate with 3+ years’ operational experience,
*Strong working knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and guidance
*Experience delivering PAS 79 Fire Risk Assessments
*Experience providing fire safety training and technical advice
*Ability to interpret drawings, plans and building layouts
*Good IT skills (Microsoft 365 / cloud systems)
Desirable:
*Level 4 Fire Risk Assessment qualification
*Registration on a recognised Fire Risk Assessor Register
