Salary: £50,000 to £55,000

Butler Rose Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be supporting a world-leading engineering organisation in their search for a Customer Programme Manager. This is a rare opportunity to join a global industry leader with a long-established reputation for innovation, quality, and customer excellence.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and delivering complex programmes on time and within budget. Acting as the main customer interface, you will manage cross-functional programme teams and ensure the seamless delivery of customer requirements to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
*Define programme scope, goals and deliverables that align with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
*Develop and maintain detailed programme plans, schedules, and risk assessments.
*Act as the principal point of contact for customers on all contractual and programme matters.
*Lead, motivate, and manage programme teams to ensure successful outcomes.
*Monitor and control programme progress, ensuring milestones are achieved on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
*Proactively identify and manage risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
*Conduct post-programme reviews and lessons learned exercises to drive continuous improvement.
*Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
*Ensure accurate documentation and reporting in line with company standards.
Skills & Experience
*Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
*Proven track record in project/programme management, with hands-on experience of managing the full project lifecycle.
*Strong customer management experience, with the ability to influence and develop long-term relationships.
*Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) and an understanding of commercial, finance and contract management.
*Proficiency in MS Office and project management toolsets.
*Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
*Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate cross-functional teams.
*Commercial awareness and diplomacy.
Personal Attributes
We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a positive outlook and a collaborative approach. You will be equally comfortable working independently or leading teams, with strong communication and organisational skills. A willingness to travel occasionally and to engage with production environments is required.
