Field Service Radio Engineer – Permanent Position
Location: Warwickshire
Salary: Competitive + Benefits
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
An established technology-led organisation is seeking a skilled Radio Engineer to join their engineering team. The successful candidate will support the delivery, maintenance, and improvement of radio-based systems used across a variety of operational environments. This position is well suited to an engineer who enjoys hands-on work, technical fault-finding, and working with a broad range of RF equipment.
Key Responsibilities
*Install, configure, and maintain radio communication systems across multiple frequencies (VHF, UHF, etc.).
*Perform RF testing, diagnostics, and system optimisation using standard measurement tools.
*Support system integration, commissioning, routine maintenance, and technical upgrades.
*Undertake fault-finding and corrective actions both in-house and at customer locations.
*Develop and maintain technical documentation, reports, and testing procedures.
*Ensure all work meets relevant engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
Skills & Experience
*Background in RF or Radio Engineering within telecommunications, electronics, or a related technical field.
*Strong understanding of radio frequency principles, modulation, antenna theory, and signal propagation.
*Experience using RF test equipment such as spectrum analysers, oscilloscopes, and signal generators.
*Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and circuit documentation.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Full UK driving licence (role may include occasional travel).
Desirable (Not Essential)
*Knowledge of digital communications, DSP, or embedded systems.
*Experience working on field-based engineering tasks.
*Formal engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or similar).
