Job Description:
Our client is a forward-thinking finance company that arranges commercial loans for small to medium sized businesses and is looking for a Junior Account Manager to join their growing team. Based in Brindleyplace, Birmingham the JAM would be joining a small but growing business that rewards well and offers a fun and energetic working environment and excellent career development opportunities for the right person. The role offers a basic salary £23-£24k plus uncapped commission.
It’s not all about experience - our client is very much looking for the commitment and attitude of the right person who wants to grow with the business on a long-term basis.
The successful Junior Account Manager will be required to:
*Follow up on fresh new leads which are all provided. (No cold calling required.)
*Generate their own loan enquiries from their warm database through the phone and email
*Responsively handle, quote, and close commercial loan enquiries
*Learn and understand putting together credit proposals and other associated tasks. This is needed to assist with development within the role.
*Be a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is looking to develop and pursue a career within Sales and Account Management
*Be motivated to progress to a fully-fledged Account manager after 9-12 months.
*Be hardworking, reliable, and resilient.
*Due to the nature of the role it will be predominantly office based, however if desired the successful candidate can work 1 day per week from home after successful completion of probationary period.
The ideal candidate will have:
*Experience working in a sales role.
*Ambition and desire to succeed and earn well!
*Good written and spoken English, with the ability to construct professional emails.
*A "can do", positive attitude with a resilient approach.
*Someone who thinks independently, shows initiative and has good problem-solving skills.
*An operational mindset and will ensure smooth running of the business.
*Strong communication skills and a confident telephone manner.
*A desire to be in a phone-based role.
*Good planning and organisational skills.
Working hours and Benefits package:
*Basic of between £23 - 24k + £1k guaranteed commission paid over the first 2 months (if business brought in during this period you will be paid on top)
*Uncapped commission, anticipated at being £6k in the first year but could easily be more the better you are.
*Team bonus incentives on top of individual bonus schemes.
*Easy, simple commission structure - earn every time an agreement completes
*Opportunity to join a growing business who truly value their staff and will mould the role around the individual and their skill set, providing they show the right level of commitment.
*Working hours Monday – Friday 35 hours per week. Flexible start and finish times between 8am and 5pm depending on candidate preference. Early finish on Friday’s.
*Development to become an Account Manager, where in time earning potential can reach £40k+ uncapped.
*24 days + bank holidays (must take 3 around Christmas).

*No scripts or strict KPIs – results driven.
