Job Description:
Accounts Assistant
*Location: Office-based
*Job Type: Full-time (7.30am – 4.00pm)
*Length of Assignment: 1 Year
*Role begins part time at 3 days a week, increasing to 5 days a week thereafter.
We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to provide accounting support within a dynamic SME in the Film & Television set construction industry. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, diligent, and enjoys working in a friendly team environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Ensure subcontractor invoices match timesheets and supplier invoices match purchase orders (POs).
*Process and manage all subcontractor and supplier invoices.
*Address invoice queries promptly by liaising with project managers.
*Ensure all purchase invoices are authorised and process credit notes from suppliers.
*Reconcile supplier statements with the accounting system before processing payments.
*Process subcontractor and supplier payments on a weekly basis.
*Reconcile subcontractor/supplier invoices with Project Cost Analysis.
*Process monthly company credit card expenses by allocating them correctly to the right nominal account and project.
*Perform other ad hoc tasks as requested by the manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Strong attention to detail.
*Ability to follow orders and processes effectively.
*Team player with good interpersonal skills.
*Proficiency in Excel.
*Experience with Xero Accounting system is advantageous.
