OVERVIEW:
• Work closely with the Head of Department, supporting the day-to-day management of the team and contributing to the continued growth and development of the practice.
• Handle a broad range of private family law matters including divorce and separation, financial remedy proceedings and cohabitation disputes.
• Assist in supervising and developing two Junior Family Solicitors while managing your own caseload with a high degree of autonomy.
• Join as a key strategic hire with a clear long term pathway into the practice management team and the potential to step into the Head of Family role as part of a planned succession strategy.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for leadership, business development and departmental growth, with the opportunity to play a central role in shaping the future of the team.
• Be a qualified Solicitor with at least 8 years’ PQE in private family law, capable of managing an existing caseload with minimal supervision.
• Bring strong technical expertise, a collaborative approach and the confidence to mentor and support junior colleagues.
• Have a genuine interest in developing and expanding the family department, with aspirations to progress into a senior leadership position over time.
• Ideally possess experience in alternative dispute resolution, collaborative law or mediation, although this is advantageous rather than essential.
• This role would suit a Senior Solicitor ready to move into a more strategic role or an existing team leader seeking a stable, succession planned opportunity with long term progression.
