DIGITAL MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT
We are recruiting on behalf of a not-for-profit organisation based in SE1 for a Digital Marketing & Communications Assistant to join their External Relations team. The role supports engagement with new and existing audiences across multiple digital platforms, helping to strengthen communications and grow reach. Focused on education, cultural exchange, and long-term UK–US relationships, this hybrid role is ideal for a proactive and creative communicator looking to make a meaningful impact within the non-profit sector.

DIGITAL MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT ROLE:
*Delivering digital marketing and communications to promote programmes and the brand across channels
*Planning and executing integrated digital campaigns for an awards portfolio and supporting online events
*Managing the website via Umbraco, drafting and updating copy, creating multimedia and graphics, upholding accessibility and brand guidelines, applying organic search engine optimisation and reporting on engagement
*Leading email marketing through Mailchimp integrated with Salesforce and web analytics, segmenting data, ensuring compliance and optimising performance
*Owning social media strategy and delivery through HeyOrca, creating content and schedules, managing paid ads, analysing performance and reporting on return on investment
*Developing audience growth and alumni engagement by tracking Fulbrighters’ news, using the Fulbrighter app, maintaining Salesforce records and supporting alumni web events
*Creating on-brand assets with Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud, attending events to capture content, collaborating across teams and adhering to internal policies
DIGITAL MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT ESSENTIALS:
*Delivering impactful digital communications, including student or consumer-facing marketing campaigns on web, email and other online platforms
*Managing content for web, email and social media using digital media tools to communicate with broad audiences
*Supporting web events
*Holding an undergraduate degree or equivalent
*Demonstrating general familiarity with website cms platforms
*Creating email marketing campaigns using platforms such as Mailchimp
*Applying basic graphic design skills using Canva
*Staying aware of digital and social media trends and innovations
*Building good working relationships with internal and external contacts
*Handling confidential and sensitive information appropriately
