Enhanced Clinical Practitioner
We have multiple full-time and part-time opportunities for skilled clinicians to deliver autonomous urgent care in NHS walk-in and urgent care centres across Central London. Ideal for experienced professionals with advanced clinical skills in patient care, assessment and diagnosis.

SALARY: £52,276 to £63,176 per annum (Band 7) + Benefits
LOCATION: Multiple Positions Available. London Sites include: W10, SW6, N12 and HA8 (locations will be discussed during the interview)

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Enhanced Clinical Practitioner to join NHS urgent care and walk-in centres across Central London, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
As an Enhanced Clinical Practitioner you will provide autonomous assessment, diagnosis and management of acute and undifferentiated conditions, using advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice to support excellent patient care.
The Enhanced Clinical Practitioner will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, supporting service improvement, quality assurance, safeguarding and operational leadership across multiple sites, with opportunities for professional development and clinical supervision.
DUTIES
Your duties as the Enhanced Clinical Practitioner include:
*Autonomous Clinical Assessment: Assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with acute, minor injury and undifferentiated health conditions
*Advanced Clinical Decision-Making: Utilise advanced clinical reasoning and diagnostic skills to determine appropriate treatment pathways
*Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with emergency services, healthcare professionals and external agencies to ensure holistic patient care
*Operational Leadership: Provide rotational leadership, supporting day-to-day service management and clinical oversight
*Quality Improvement: Lead and participate in audits, service evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives
*Compassionate Patient Care: Deliver culturally sensitive, patient-centred care in line with NHS standards and infection control guidance
*Communication: Communicate complex and sensitive information clearly to patients, families and colleagues
*Cross-Site Support: Provide occasional cross-cover across urgent care and walk-in centre locations as required
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
*Registered clinician (Nurse, Allied Health Professional or Paramedic) with appropriate professional registration
*Previous experience in urgent care, emergency care or primary care settings
*Advanced clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis and management of acute conditions
*Experience with autonomous working and multidisciplinary teamwork
*Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver culturally sensitive patient care
*Commitment to evidence-based practice, safeguarding and clinical governance
*Proven experience of contributing to service improvement or quality assurance initiatives
DESIRABLE
*Experience in paediatric assessment and treatment
*A background in leadership or operational coordination within urgent care services
*Experience with audit, documentation and clinical supervision processes
