Business Development Associate – Sales & Events Flimwell, East Sussex | £30,000 + Commission |
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially driven and people-focused Events Associate to join a unique events destination in Flimwell, East Sussex.
This is not just another sales role. This is a chance to help shape the future of a distinctive events space that blends corporate events, private celebrations and eco-accommodation within a forward-thinking environment.

About the role
This is a hands-on, varied position combining sales, events coordination and brand representation.
The successful candidate will take ownership of driving new business (around 50% of the role), proactively identifying and securing corporate and private clients for an established and growing events space.
Key responsibilities include:
*Proactively sourcing and converting new corporate and private event clients
*Managing enquiries from first contact through to confirmed booking
*Hosting site visits and attending events on-site in Flimwell
*Maintaining CRM systems and reporting on outreach and conversion rates
*Acting as a confident brand ambassador, communicating the venue’s mission and values
*Posting engaging content across social media channels
*Driving bookings for a flagship events building in line with growth targets
*Supporting pricing reviews based on market trends and seasonal demand
*Working closely with the Site Manager to ensure smooth guest and event operations
*Reporting progress and client feedback to senior leadership
This is a visible, client-facing role where no two days are the same. It would suit someone who enjoys picking up the phone, meeting clients in person and being part of the buzz on event days.

*Confident, articulate and naturally personable
*Experienced in hospitality, retail, sales or a customer-facing environment
*Commercially minded with the ability to spot and convert opportunities
*Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems
*Proactive, organised and adaptable
*Passionate about sustainability and purpose-led businesses
*Able to drive and commute to Flimwell, East Sussex
*Happy to work occasional Saturdays (with a day off in lieu)
