Data Protection Administrator
*Temporary (3 weeks, possibly longer)
*Location: SW London
*Hourly Rate: Circa £14
*Job Type: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
We are seeking a Data Protection Administrator to join our clients team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial for managing and protecting sensitive information in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and UK GDPR. The ideal candidate will have a DBS and be able to handle a high volume of confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Work closely with the Operations and Compliance Manager to provide administrative support in responding to Subject Access Requests.
*Sort, convert, and categorise personal data efficiently.
*Remove duplicate data from data searches.
*Apply redaction principles to personal data to be supplied as part of a Subject Access Request.
*Assist in maintaining a log of redaction decisions to ensure they are legally defensible to challenges by the ICO.
*Manage a high volume of confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Efficient and meticulous attention to detail.
*Ability to understand and apply guidance relating to legal principles.
*Highly literate with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Good time management with the ability to work to a deadline.
*The ability to work with discretion at all times.
*Advanced IT skills – knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Adobe Acrobat to a competent level.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience with processing Subject Access Requests and applying redactions.
*Educated to A level, or equivalent experience.
