Role: IT Technician (Temporary)
Hourly Pay Rate: £16.86 - £17.91
Location: Central Cambridge (On Site 5-Days)
Estimated Length of Assignment: 1 month+

A well-known and prestigious organisation is seeking an IT Technician to provide 1st & 2nd line IT support across its main site and associated locations. This is an ongoing temporary assignment, offering hands-on involvement in day-to-day service delivery, user support, hardware and software installation, and assistance with networking and infrastructure activities within a busy operational environment.
Core Responsibilities:
*Acting as the first point of contact for IT support requests and incidents
*Providing first line investigation, diagnosis, and resolution of routine technical issues
*Escalating unresolved issues appropriately and maintaining accurate support records
*Installing, configuring, and decommissioning hardware and software
*Supporting application maintenance and troubleshooting
*Assisting with network and infrastructure support activities
*Contributing to incident and problem management processes
*Supporting staff onboarding and induction on IT tools and services
Experience Required:
*Experience providing 1st & 2nd line IT support within a professional environment
*Strong working knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office
*Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments
*Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN, WiFi, switches, routers)
*Experience installing and configuring hardware and software
