Job Description:
Lynx Recruitment is supporting a leading organisation within financial services searching for a Data Engineer to design and build scalable, cloud-first data platforms that drive innovation and data-led decision-making.
You will work across the full data lifecycle — engineering secure, high-performance pipelines and modern data platforms that enable analytics, AI, and enterprise insights.
Key Responsibilities*Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines
*Design and manage data warehouses, lakes, and cloud-native platforms
*Implement monitoring, governance, security, and regulatory compliance frameworks
*Deliver high-quality datasets to analytics and business teams
*Support AI and advanced analytics initiatives
Requirements*Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (minimum 2:1 classification)
*Strong SQL & Python
*Hands-on ETL/ELT experience (e.g., Matillion, Talend, Fivetran, ADF)
*Experience with Snowflake (AWS/Azure/GCP beneficial)
*Strong data modelling knowledge
*Understanding of data governance and security best practices
*Ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions
DesirableAirflow, dbt, Kafka, CI/CD, BI tools, governance platforms, financial services experience.
