Job Description:
Pyramid8 are supporting a long-standing family run business in Leeds. They are seeking an enthusiastic warehouse manager to join their team and manage the operational running of the warehouse. Looking after a team of 12 this professional multi-tasker will manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storage, picking and packing activities within the warehouse, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn.
The role:
*Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the effective day to day management of the warehouse.
*To manage and motivate the warehouse team by providing clear leadership and direction through engagement and education. Driving continuous improvement in all areas.
*To respond effectively and innovatively to changing priorities throughout the day, taking ownership of any problems that arise and seeking to find a suitable resolution.
*Proactively manage all aspects of employee relations, such as absence, performance management, recruitment and retention.
*Ensure productivity, safety and quality goals are set and achieved.
*Ensure full compliance with all legislative standards.
*Implement effective working practices to increase productivity
*Managing Stock Control with Good in and Out and ensuring the Warehouse is Kept Clean and Tidy at all times.
The Person
*Minimum of 3 years’ warehouse management experience in a fast-paced environment.
*Proven experience of managing a successful team.
*A skilled communicator and have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, customers and other stakeholders.
*Excellent computing skills.
*Have a sound knowledge of health and safety regulations
