Long Term Futures are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support learning in a Year 4 class at a welcoming primary school in Northfield.
This full-time role involves supporting whole-class learning while providing targeted support to three children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will be confident using strong behaviour management strategies, de-escalation techniques and emotional regulation support to promote a calm and inclusive environment.
The Role:
*Support whole-class learning in a Year 4 setting
*Provide targeted support to pupils with ASD and behavioural needs
*Implement behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
*Promote emotional regulation and positive engagement
*Help maintain a safe, structured and inclusive classroom
*Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
The Ideal Candidate:
*Level 2/3 TA qualification (or equivalent)
*Experience supporting ASD and challenging behaviour
*Confident with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
*Calm, resilient and proactive in the classroom
*Team Teach desirable (or willingness to train)
*Committed to inclusion and supporting pupil progress
