About Us
MakeMyHouseGreen is a growing solar installation company across the UK. We handle everything from quoting to installation, and we’re building out our own install team so we can control quality end to end.
The Role
As a solar electrician, you’ll be a skilled, hands-on electrician delivering high-quality solar installations across residential properties. You’ll be doing the electrical work, ensuring compliance and quality standards are met. You’ll be our lead electrician on domestic solar PV and battery installs — wiring, testing, signing off, and making sure every job is done right.
What You’ll Be Doing
*Delivering solar PV and battery installations on residential properties
*Completing and signing off electrical work to ensure compliance and quality
*Supporting and troubleshooting electrical aspects of installations across sites
*We’re a small team, so if you see a smarter way to do something on site, you’ll have the ear of the people who can actually change it.
Most of your time will be spent on-site, delivering installations hands-on. You’ll also support with solving complex electrical challenges when they arise and occasionally work with the ops team to improve how we do things across the business. This isn’t a desk job — it’s for someone who thrives in the field and takes pride in doing excellent work.
What We’re Looking For
Must-haves:
*Strong technical electrical knowledge, including Level 3 NVQ or equivalent
*Capability to sign off electrical work under NAPIT or NICEIC
*A high level of reliability and professionalism
*Excellent communication skills with customers and teammates
*A strong work ethic and pride in delivering top-quality results quickly
*Full UK driving licence
*Happy to serve jobs within a 1.5hr radius of Oxford (adhoc jobs may be further afield)
Nice-to-haves:
*Experience delivering domestic solar PV and battery installations
*Interest in improving systems and workflows across installations
