Love variety? Thrive on organised chaos? Enjoy spinning plates and making a real difference in your community? Then this might just be your perfect role.
As Operations Manager, you’ll be the beating heart of BCT. You’ll balance big-picture thinking with hands-on leadership and keep everything running smoothly.
Expect a busy, varied role covering:
• Day-to-day operations and leadership of staff and volunteers
• HR, people management, and team support
• Finance, budgets, and funding applications
• Health & Safety and transport compliance
• Reports for the Board and support for the AGM
• Managing tenders, contracts, and partnerships
• Marketing and promoting BCT’s services in the community
• Yes, there are a lot of plates—but they’re rewarding ones
About you
You’re someone who:
• Is highly organised and calm under pressure
• Enjoys leading a small team and juggling priorities
• Communicates clearly, positively, and with confidence
• Is IT-savvy (Microsoft Office essential; transport systems a bonus)
• Has financial management experience and familiarity with accountancy software
• Cares deeply about community, people, and making a difference
• Knowledge of the Bromyard area is a big plus—but passion and commitment matter most.
What we do
With the help of brilliant volunteer drivers and a small fleet of vehicles, BCT supports around 250 local people to stay independent and connected.
Our services include:
• Dial-a-Ride
• Community cars
• Minibus hire
• Shopping trips
• Day outings
• In short: we reduce isolation and increase independence—one journey at a time.
