BOOKKEEPER – EAST GRINSTEAD – £35,000 + Hybrid Working

About the role
This full-time Bookkeeper position will focus primarily on supporting sole traders, with some exposure to partnerships and limited companies.
Key responsibilities include:
*Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts
*Accurately entering financial data into Xero
*Preparing and submitting VAT returns
*Identifying and flagging inconsistencies to assist with reconciliations
*Supporting with year-end accounts preparation
*Managing bookkeeping duties within a client-facing environment
The successful Bookkeeper will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial records are maintained while working closely with accountants and managers.

What we are looking for
The ideal Bookkeeper will demonstrate:
*Solid bookkeeping experience, particularly with sole traders
*Experience with partnerships and limited companies (advantageous but not essential)
*Working knowledge of Xero (preferred – full training can be provided)
*Knowledge of Sage and CCH (beneficial but not essential)
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*A professional and personable approach
*Confidence in a client-facing role
*Residence within reasonable commuting distance of East Grinstead
