We’re looking for an experienced Registered Manager to oversee the day to day running of a residential home for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in Cullompton.
The home requires some attention in relation to quality assurance, compliance management and consistent leadership. The team has lacked direction for a period of time, so this role would suit an experienced and capable leader who enjoys problem solving and putting things right.
On offer is a salary of circa £42,000 to £45,000 per annum, a quarterly bonus scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, flexibility and autonomy. This provider operates a number of care homes across the South West. Support is available when you need it, without micromanagement or unnecessary red tape, so you’ll be able to influence change and run the service your way.
The Registered Manager role
*Provide day to day leadership to the staff team
*Ensure care records, risk assessments and documentation are comprehensive and up to date
*Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
*Ensure company policies and procedures are understood and followed by staff
*Carry out supervision and appraisals
*Ensure the people you support have outcome focused care plans and are encouraged to develop their skills
*Communicate effectively with external professionals including GPs, social workers and the local authority, as well as families and friends
About you
* We’re looking for a strong and capable leader who can motivate staff and create a positive working environment. You’ll need experience managing a regulated care service for people with learning disabilities and you’ll have previously held Registered Manager status with CQC.
*You’ll have strong attention to detail and take a thorough approach in everything you do. Ideally, you’ll hold a QCF Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care, or be working towards it.
