Our client, a leading UK digital transformation consultancy, is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join their growing team in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across high-impact projects in defence, national security, public sector and critical infrastructure helping shape data solutions that make a real difference.

Due to the nature of this work, active MOD DV Clearance is essential.

As a Data Engineer you will: *Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines across complex, secure environments.
*Deliver high-quality, incremental data solutions using modern cloud-based architectures.
*Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, architecture and analytics.
*Support client engagements, contributing to demos, solution design and technical delivery.
*Drive continuous improvement by evaluating new tools, frameworks and approaches.
The ideal Data Engineer will have: *Proven experience designing and deploying production-grade pipelines (Python, Scala, Java, Spark, SQL).
*Strong experience working with AWS cloud data technologies (e.g., Glue, EMR, Redshift, Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB).
*Commercial experience ingesting, processing and curating structured and unstructured datasets.
*Experience with API ingestion, data modelling and optimisation for analytics.
*Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tooling (Git, Terraform, containerisation).
*Ability to work effectively within small, agile teams delivering high-quality data solutions.
