The OpportunityWe are looking for a B2B SaaS Account Executive with 5+ years of closing experience to join our UK team.
We have a healthy pipeline of interest, but our sales cycle (typically 3–6 months with a £10k–£15k ACV) requires a specific type of focus. We are looking for a closer who excels at the consultative middle of the funnel—someone who can take initial interest, map it to deep strategic value, and guide complex stakeholder groups to a decision.
This is a role for a builder. You will be instrumental in refining our sales methodology, helping refine the "GovConnex Way" of selling as we scale in the UK.
What You’ll Do*Capitalise on Demand: You will take ownership of qualified inbound leads and guide them through a structured sales process.
*Strategic Discovery: You will move beyond surface-level qualification to uncover the critical business pains that drive a 6-month buying decision.
*Process Optimisation: You will work directly with leadership to sharpen our pipeline stages. You will help us identify where deals slow down and implement the playbooks to keep them moving.
*Pipeline Velocity: You will actively manage your forecast, ensuring that deals in the pipeline have clear next steps, and genuine momentum.
*Represent the Business at Events: You will attend industry events and conferences, serving as a brand ambassador to generate new business opportunities and expand your professional network.
What We’re Looking For*5+ Years Experience as an AE: You have a proven track record in B2B SaaS (ideally mid-market) and are comfortable carrying a quota.
*Drive and Resilience: You are highly motivated, tenacious, and thrive on exceeding targets. You’re comfortable challenging the way we do things and approaching things differently to achieve results, in service of delivering value to customers and our brand.
*Methodical Seller: You understand that a £15k deal isn’t closed on the first call. You have the patience and discipline to manage multi-month cycles and multi-threaded decision units.
*Process Driven: You enjoy the "science" of sales. You are diligent with CRM hygiene (HubSpot/Salesforce) not just for reporting, but because you know it helps you win.
*Demo Excellence: You are an expert at tailoring demos to specific audience needs, rather than delivering a generic feature walkthrough.
