Job Description:
Based in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, MRK Talent Solutions is proud to be partnering with a dynamic, family-owned hospitality group in their search for a Group Finance Manager. This is a hybrid position with four days in the office and one day working from home, offering the opportunity to play a key role within a growing multi-site business operating across the UK.
This job would suit an experienced finance professional with a strong reporting and controls background to be responsible for leading a team and developing these key areas of the finance function.
This is a newly created position due to the growth of the business and the desire to improve the value of the finance function. This person will be overseeing the recently outsourced transactions functions, improving the reporting and building stronger relationships with the site general managers. Also, this role will allow the Group Financial Controller to focus on improving the forecasting and FP&A within the Group.
Our client is a well-established hospitality business with a turnover of approximately £60m and strong EBITDA performance. With over 20 sites currently in operation and additional acquisitions imminent, the business is entering an exciting phase of expansion. A new Finance Director has recently joined to enhance the finance function, including plans to implement a new finance system in the coming months. This newly created role offers genuine scope to shape processes, improve consolidation and reporting, and make a lasting impact within an ambitious and entrepreneurial environment.
The successful individual will be a technically strong finance professional with proven experience in hospitality or multi-site environments essential. Your experiences should be in areas such as group consolidations, financial reporting and managing transactions functions. Strong Excel skills are imperative including VLOOKUPs and the ability to manipulate large data exports and any knowledge of Xero or SAGE INTACT would be advantageous. This position would suit a strong communicator who is confident managing people, comfortable communicating with senior stakeholders, and motivated by improving processes and controls.
Responsibilities include:
* Completion of end to end financial reporting for the Group, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports and consolidations.
* Manage Group Payroll, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable functions.
* Respond to financial reporting queries from the business and shareholders.
* Assist with the annual audit process and liaise with auditors.
* Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of supplier accounts and balance sheets.
* Support and manage daily Group cashflow.
* Maintain regular communication with external parties including banks.
* Oversee Group expenses and ensure adherence to policy.
* Monthly CapEx reporting.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and transformational change.
* Collaborate cross-functionally to drive business performance.
