Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working on behalf of a valued client based in Chesterfield to recruit a Temporary Ongoing Accounts Receivable Clerk. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional to support the Financial Controller in the effective day-to-day administration of the sales ledger within a busy finance function.
This role would suit someone who is detail-oriented, confident working independently, and comfortable managing high volumes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Processing sales ledger invoices, including tooling invoices
*Logging daily sales information and reconciling figures
*Uploading sales invoices
*Uploading invoices to customer portals and distributing through usual channels
*Reconciling bank accounts and invoice discounting accounts
*Chasing outstanding customer invoices
*Processing remittances
*Managing the debit note process relating to quality issues, delivery discrepancies and rework activities
*Managing the invoice discounting relationship with HSBC, including information requests, month-end submissions and account limit management
*Preparing VAT returns and conducting analysis
*Assisting with month-end and year-end accounts preparation
*Maintaining the sales ledger
*Providing cover for the Purchase Ledger function when required
*General filing, record keeping and supporting improvements to finance department efficiency
*Maintaining customer and supplier records
*Supporting with ad hoc duties as requested by the Financial Controller
Person Specification:
*Previous accounts experience - Essential
*Strong analytical skills, particularly in Excel - Essential
*Strong team player with the ability to work autonomously
*Professional and confident telephone manner, as customer contact will be required
