Job description:
Purpose
Responsible for processing commercial claims, invalidating claims where sufficient evidence exists, and all associated query management. Provide a professional and co-operative service to our internal customers in line with Premier Foods values and promote best practice in customer service. Work collaboratively with other teams in PBS and the wider business to achieve targets.
What you’ll be doing?
Operational Responsibilities
* Timely processing of commercial claims
* Follow up claims with the Business Account Managers (BAMs) and the Customer Finance Team to ensure that all claims are validated / invalidated in a timely manner
* Build and maintain good relationships with sales team, PBS colleagues and wider business to deliver to targets
* Resolve issues with BAMs & Commercial Finance Team and ensure timely follow up of uncleared claims
* Daily updating of SAP text with claim activities undertaken using the standard text.
* Provide data and commentary for monthly balance sheet packs as required
* Provide data for and participate in monthly account reviews with internal stakeholders
Customer Service
* Strong focus on customer service, providing an agreed level of service to the business and external customers
* Be the first point of contact for commercial claims and handle / resolve queries and complaints
* Deliver consistent, accurate and timely information to the business with records maintained for internal and external reporting
* Be a subject matter expert during account reviews with key stakeholders
* Escalate any unresolved issues in a timely manner
* Knowledge of customer service practice and principles
Process Improvement
* Pro-actively contribute to improvements to systems, procedures and practices within the department to ensure efficient and effective business operations, and support with implementation once changes are approved
* Support implementation of new processes to ensure the business maximises financial returns and minimises risk
* Involvement with small scale projects; user acceptance testing, creation of procedural documentation
Control & Compliance
* Operate within the business controls framework, following relevant process documents such as the Credit Policy and Risk and Control Framework
What we need from you?
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proven experience working within a credit control and/or query resolution role
* Performance driven and keen to exceed expectations
* Proven customer service experience
* Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP’s)
* Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver your targets and understand end to end processes
* Good attention to detail, the ability to multitask and work under pressure
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Problem solving skills (error detection, root cause analysis, error correction)
*System knowledge of SAP
