Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Aberdeen, UK
Duration: 12 Months (Contract)
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join a dynamic team based in Aberdeen. This role involves providing technical support and guidance to workshop and production teams, improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
*Identify inspection features related to tooling and update inspection test plans (ITPs) as needed
*Provide repair workshop and survey dispositions to support refurbishment
*Monitor manufacturing cycle times and propose improvements
*Define and manage test equipment in collaboration with tooling teams
*Lead by example to maintain high health, safety, and quality performance
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support delivery and share best practices
*Work closely with the shop floor on tasks such as lifting operations, testing, and assembly/disassembly methods
Skills and Experience Required:
*Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with aftermarket or repair solutions
*Strong problem-solving and process improvement abilities
*Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
*Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
*Experience with ERP systems is desirable
*Analytical mindset with focus on continuous improvement
