Your new role
As the Year 1 Teacher, you will:
*Deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
*Support pupils as they transition from EYFS into more formal learning
*Use assessment effectively to track progress and tailor support
*Work closely with the KS1 team, support staff, and SLT
*Foster a classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and motivated
This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and confident ECTs looking for a supportive start to their career.
What you’ll need to succeed
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Experience teaching in KS1 (placement experience considered)
*Strong understanding of phonics and early literacy development
*A warm, positive approach and a genuine passion for teaching
*The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
