Job Description:
We’re working with a well-established, UKAS-accredited asbestos consultancy looking to strengthen its Midlands team with an experienced Asbestos Consultant / Surveyor.
This is a hands-on, site-based role offering genuine variety — from traditional surveying to contaminated land projects, client advisory work, mentoring and commercial involvement.

The RoleYou will safely and professionally deliver asbestos services in line with:
*Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012
*Current HSE guidance
*UKAS accreditation standards
*Internal quality procedures
You’ll be trusted to represent the business on site, manage client relationships and identify further service opportunities.
Core ResponsibilitiesSurveying & Reporting*Deliver Management, Refurbishment & Demolition surveys across all property types
*Complete accurate survey plans and reports (Teams-based reporting systems)
*Upload data and return documentation in a timely manner
*Interpret scopes of work and ensure full project compliance
*Complete site RAMS and identify project-specific risks
*Ensure safe and competent use of equipment (IPAF, PASMA, Confined Space where required)
*Manage bulk sample paperwork and laboratory submissions
*Communicate damaged ACM findings and remedial recommendations clearly
Client Management & Commercial Input*Liaise with clients pre-, during and post-survey
*Discuss findings and advise on asbestos management
*Identify and promote additional services (air monitoring, training, AMPs, etc.)
*Attend pre-start and client meetings where required
*Assist with pricing and ad hoc site visits
Additional Technical Services*Deliver asbestos in soils & WAC testing projects
*Support contaminated land discussions
*Deliver ad hoc testing (e.g. Lead in Paint, Density Testing, Anthrax where required)
*Deliver Asbestos Awareness, Non-Licensed Work and Duty to Manage training
*Develop and audit Asbestos Management Plans (AMPs)
*Produce Priority Risk Assessments (PRAs)
*Conduct compliance health checks and AMP audits
Quality & Mentoring*Mentor trainee and junior surveyors
*Support internal quality audits
*Assist the Q&T Manager with UKAS compliance and company re-surveys
*Identify training needs and improvement areas
What We’re Looking For*BOHS P402 (minimum)
*Strong understanding of asbestos regulations and HSE guidance
*Experience working under UKAS-accredited systems
*Confident communicator with client-facing experience
*Full UK driving licence
*IPAF / PASMA / Confined Space (desirable)
*Ability to mentor junior staff
Salary & Package £30,000 – £42,500 depending on experience
