We are looking for a 7.5T driver to work on the afternoon shift with the street cleansing team driving the Schmidt vehicle (Mechanical Sweeper).
*You are required to hold a 7.5T driving licence, Digi Tacho card and a CPC licence.
*PM shift 2pm-10pm
*Temporary - on going position
*Starting as soon as possible
£17.33 per hour PAYE paid weekly.
*Drive mechanical sweepers in accordance with requirements of the Highway Code.
*Vehicle Checks - reporting any issues to management
*Follow route set out for you making sure roads are clear
*Manually remove obstructions from the path of the sweeping equipment which could damage the mechanism of the machine.
*Co-ordinate sweeping works will require co-ordination with other cleansing staff.
*Litter pick as necessary with designated team.
*On completion of daily duties return vehicle to Depot, de-water and cleanse.
*Report daily work progress and any problems encountered to the Street Cleansing Manager.
*As required undertake other duties either in the Street Cleansing Section or Refuse Section to provide cover for other operatives.
