Financial AccountantCentral London | Railway Infrastructure Sector
An established and highly regarded organisation within the railway infrastructure sector is seeking a technically strong and commercially minded Financial Accountant to join its Financial Control team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practice-trained ACA/ACCA who has since moved into industry as a Financial Accountant or Finance Manager and is now looking for a broader, more commercially exposed role within a complex, regulated environment.
The RoleReporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring robust financial control, technical compliance, and high-quality reporting across the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
*Ownership of fixed asset accounting and reconciliations
*Lead on IFRS 16 lease accounting
*Preparation and management of statutory accounts, including change control
*Driving high-quality and timely balance sheet reconciliations
*Supporting external and internal audits
*Providing guidance on accounting standards, company law and HMRC regulations
*Supporting tax computation preparation
*Partnering with wider finance and operational teams to mitigate risk and improve processes
This role offers real breadth - combining technical accounting with business interaction and process improvement.

*ACA or ACCA qualified (practice-trained)
*Currently in industry in a Financial Accountant or Finance Manager role
*Strong grounding in technical accounting and financial control
*Commercially astute - able to understand the "why" behind the numbers
