Job Description:
Job Title: In-House SEO Contractor
Location: Biggin Hill
On-site – Monday to Friday (Office-based)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies aligned with business goals
- Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and opportunity mapping
- Identify growth opportunities across content, technical SEO, and link acquisition
- Optimize website content, metadata, internal linking, and site structure
- Implement keyword targeting strategies
- Work closely with content, marketing, and design teams to improve rankings
- Perform technical audits (crawl errors, indexing issues, site speed, mobile usability)
- Collaborate with developers to implement technical improvements
- Monitor Core Web Vitals and site health
- Track KPIs including organic traffic, rankings, conversions, and engagement
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience
- Proven success improving organic traffic and keyword rankings
- Strong understanding of technical SEO principles
- Experience with tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Screaming Frog
- Ability to interpret data and translate insights into action
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in an in-office setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in-house (not only agency-side)
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, Webflow)
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and website architecture
- Experience in local SEO (if applicable to business)
