If you are currently an Assistant Restaurant Manager or stepping up from a senior supervisory role, this Assistant Restaurant Manager position offers genuine progression, autonomy and the opportunity to refine high service standards.
Your role as Assistant Restaurant Manager
You will support the day-to-day running of a 160-cover restaurant, ensuring consistently high standards across the main dining area, private dining spaces and courtyard service.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Supporting the Restaurant Manager with daily operations
*Leading service and being visible on the floor
*Managing rotas, team organisation and performance
*Overseeing stock takes and weekly ordering
*Handling guest feedback confidently and professionally
*Supporting wage cost control and weekly targets
*Maintaining health & safety and operational standards
This Assistant Restaurant Manager role is hands-on and service-led - you will be integral to developing the team and elevating the guest experience.
What we’re looking for
To succeed as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will have:
*Minimum 2 years’ management or supervisory experience within a reputable restaurant
*Experience managing rotas and running shifts
*Confidence with booking systems (SevenRooms or similar)
*Bar knowledge including hot drinks and cocktails
*Experience with stock control and back-office systems
*Strong guest engagement and complaint handling skills
*Most importantly, you will bring energy, professionalism and a genuine passion for restaurant service and story telling to guests
