Stores Manager
*Annual Salary: £20.29 per hour

*Job Type: Full-time, Temporary Contract

We are seeking a dedicated Stores Manager to ensure efficient and effective delivery of comprehensive Stores services to Berneslai Homes. This role involves leading service improvements, modernising processes, and driving change within the Stores department to enhance efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Collaborate closely with the Procurement Manager to review and enhance current processes and procedures.
*Manage the warehouse operations including picking, unloading deliveries (including heavy bulky items), ordering, storing, stock checking, and distributing materials, plant, and equipment.
*Coordinate with Operations Managers and the Service Control Unit to effectively plan for the provision of materials, plant, and equipment.
*Lead the review of all current policies and procedures in Stores, suggest improvements, and implement new methods to maximise efficiency.
*Organise and conduct regular stock checks in line with organisational policies, investigate any discrepancies, and report findings to the Procurement Manager.
*Oversee the delivery service across construction services, ensuring timely stock delivery to various drop-off points around the borough and continually reviewing the process for efficiency.
*Ensure compliance with COSHH assessments for materials in Stores and coordinate with the Health and Safety Manager for any new assessments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*HNC/NVQ level 4 in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
*Evidence of Health and Safety training (e.g., SMSTS, IOSH) or willingness to undertake necessary training.
*Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team effectively.
*Extensive experience in a Stores/Warehouse environment, including management or supervisory experience.
*Demonstrated ability to manage staffing resources and build a cohesive team.
