Plants & Landscaping Sales Advisor Solihull | £30,000 | Full-time | Outdoor-based
Love plants? Love people? Not afraid to start a conversation?We are looking for someone with real character - someone who genuinely enjoys approaching customers, guiding them, and helping them make the right decisions for their gardens.
This isn’t a desk job. It’s hands-on, outdoors, and customer-facing. You’ll be out on the nursery, talking to people, understanding what they’re trying to achieve, and helping turn ideas into beautiful outdoor spaces.

*Spots a customer looking unsure and walks over to help
*Loves talking about plants, landscaping and garden projects
*Gets real satisfaction from closing a sale properly (not pushy - just helpful)
*Enjoys being outside and active rather than stuck behind a counter
… then this could be exactly what you’re looking for.
What You’ll Be Doing*Welcoming customers and proactively guiding them around the nursery
*Advising on plant choices, materials and landscaping ideas
*Preparing quotes and following up enquiries
*Turning interest into confirmed orders
*Working closely with designers and installation teams
*Keeping displays looking great and plants in top condition
What Matters MostWe’re less concerned about perfect CVs and more interested in:
*A genuine interest in plants and gardening
*Confidence speaking to customers
*A natural ability to build rapport
*Commercial awareness (you understand we’re here to sell)
*Energy, personality and pride in your work
Experience in a garden centre, landscaping, builders’ merchant, farm shop, DIY retail or similar would be great - but if you’ve got the right attitude and love plants, we’ll teach you the rest.
What You Need to Know*This role is outdoors in all weather
*You’ll be on your feet and active
*Basic computer confidence required (quotes / EPOS)
*Weekend work will be part of the rota
Bonus (Not Essential)*Horticulture qualification
*PA1 / PA6 licence
*Landscaping background
