Waste Recycling Manual Operative (2 Positions Available)
Location: Bradford Road, Newton Bar, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF1 2TY
Pay Rate: £13.69 per hour
Working Pattern: 4 days per week
Role Overview
We are looking for two Waste Recycling Manual Operatives to support waste collection rounds in the Wakefield area. This role involves carrying out repetitive manual tasks as part of a waste and recycling team, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
*Assisting waste collection crews on designated routes.
*Manually handling bins, bags and recyclable materials.
*Ensuring correct sorting of recyclable waste.
*Working safely around moving vehicles.
*Following instructions from the Waste Team Leader or Driver.
*Maintaining high levels of professionalism and customer service.
*Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
Requirements
*Ability to carry out repetitive manual tasks.
*Good level of physical fitness.
*Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
*Ability to work as part of a team.
*Previous waste/recycling experience is beneficial but not essential.
