Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to provide high-quality, consistent HR support across a busy and fast-paced organisation. The role focuses on delivering an agile, customer-focused People service while supporting managers on a full range of employee relations and people-focused activity.
Client Details
Our client is a large, complex, and highly collaborative organisation based in Sheffield, requiring three days onsite each week. They are operating within a period of organisational change, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, people development, and positive workplace culture.
Description
In this role, you will provide rounded HR support across a directorate, working closely with various People leaders covering Talent Management, HR Change, HR Operations, and HR Projects. Responsibilities include advising and coaching managers on HR policies, supporting employee relations casework (up to cases with ET risk), and contributing to writing new policies, organisational redesigns including the creation of role profiles and consultation materials.
You will support policy development in line with legislation and best practice, assist with annual pay review data and reporting, and ensure performance management practices are embedded effectively across the organisation.
The role also involves supporting development planning, ensuring training needs are supported through the LMS, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and strong organisational values.
Profile
The ideal candidate will:
*Be available immediately or on a short notice period.
*Have public sector experience, or experience working in similarly regulated or unionised environments.
*Hold CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent).
*Have strong experience managing and advising on employee relations matters including disciplinaries, sickness, grievances, and capability cases.
*Be confident in supporting line managers with role profiles and job evaluation methodologies.
*Possess up-to-date knowledge of employment law and case law.
*Demonstrate strong communication skills, relationship-building capability, and the ability to influence at all levels.
*Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities with professionalism and autonomy.
Job Offer
*Day rate based on salary £39-41K
*Temporary contract with potential for longevity
