Job Description:
We are currently looking for an experienced Warehouse Operative to join our Warehouse Team based in Bedford. The ideal candidate will be a good team player, enjoy physical work. You will be involved with various functions including receiving goods, picking orders, and despatching parcels. You will be responsible for the safe and accurate handling of product passing through the warehouse, ensuring top quality is maintained and service levels are always achieved, whilst adhering to the highest levels of Health and Safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Following inbound and/or outbound processes.
Maintain inventory and stock in line with the process.
Ensure optimum levels of stock integrity are achieved through an understanding of all processes and procedures of warehouse operations.
Ensure the highest operational standards are always met while achieving productivity targets.
Receiving stock into the WMS system and dealing with any discrepancies.
Ensure warehouse space is utilised effectively and kept clean and orderly.
Maintaining clean, organised, and safe working environment in line with expected 7s standards.
Ensure all products are handled as per client’s specification and orders generated are picked and despatched in line with customer expectation.
Ensure the handling product is carried out to the highest standards of health and safety, equally applying best practice to the protection and packaging of customer’s orders to sustain transition through carrier networks.
Ensure adequate supplies of consumables and packaging are available to meet with all customer order dispatch requirements.
Ensure all processes, daily checks, defect reporting, training, and operations of MHE are conducted in line with both company and legislative health and safety requirements.
Communicate any issues with your supervisor.
General warehouse duties including hygiene, picking, and loading.
Requirements:
The role requires working 5 days out of 7, with shifts on weekends, so flexibility is a must. The shifts may vary with appropriate notice to meet the demands of the business.
Familiar with Warehouse Management Systems are an advantage, but full training will be given.
Good communicational skills.
Physically fit and able, heavy lifting involved.
Maintain good level of attendance.
