Finance Manager (EMEA)
London | Full-time | Remote
A leading international law firm is seeking a Finance Manager (EMEA) to join its global finance organisation. This role plays a central part in overseeing financial activity while working closely with global teams across the firm’s EMEA offices, requiring strong technical capability and confidence operating across multiple jurisdictions.
Law firm experience is required to be considered for this role.
Key Responsibilities
*Serve as the primary finance contact for EMEA offices (London, Brussels, Frankfurt, Dubai, Johannesburg), advising on local accounting, tax, and compliance matters.
*Ensure consistent application of firmwide finance policies and procedures across all EMEA jurisdictions.
*Monitor changes in regional regulations, including VAT, payroll taxes, and statutory reporting requirements.
*Support internal and external audits, coordinating with auditors and internal stakeholders.
*Partner with the headquarters general ledger team to align regional reporting with global standards.
*Ensure smooth cross-border operations.
*Provide regional payroll data and insights to the global payroll team.
*Oversee payroll processes across EMEA.
*Lead continuous improvement initiatives across EMEA finance processes and systems.
*Identify and mitigate regional financial risks, including: *UK: VAT, HMRC reporting, SAR
*EU: VAT directives, statutory reporting
*UAE: DIFC regulations, WPS payroll compliance, banking restrictions
*South Africa: SARS requirements, exchange controls, BEE reporting

Qualifications
*Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred.
*Significant legal finance experience, ideally within a US law firm environment.
*Strong knowledge of IFRS and local EMEA accounting standards; experience with VAT and regional tax regimes.
*Advanced proficiency with financial systems, BI tools, and ERP platforms.
*Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
*Strong change-management and process-improvement capability, with a focus on automation and digital transformation.
