About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and passionate Secondary Geography Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in the Sefton area. We are looking for a teacher who is reliable and enthusiastic with a dedication to inspire and motivate students.
Secondary Geography Teacher
Location: Maghull, L31
Start Date: April 2026
Contract Type: Temporary, 3 months
Working Hours: Full-time, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Pay: Paid to scale
Key Responsibilities:
*Plan and Deliver Lessons: Create engaging and comprehensive lessons that align with the curriculum and cater to various learning styles.
*Assessment: Design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding.
*Encourage Participation: Promote active engagement and participation among students.
*Resource Management: Select and utilise appropriate textbooks, resources, and materials.
*Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and improve teaching strategies.
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
*Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
*Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training can be provided).
*Right to Work in the UK.
*Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
*Ability to provide two professional references.
