Senior Care Assistant
Bamber Bridge - Preston
Days - £14.00 per hour | 44-hour contract
Nights - £14.00 per hour | 33-hour contract
We are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Care Assistant to join a welcoming 55-bed residential service supporting individuals with Dementia.
About the Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead and support the care team, ensuring high standards of person-centred care and full compliance with CQC guidelines. You will act as a role model within the service, supervising and guiding junior staff and contributing to a positive, safe, and caring environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Care Assistant:
*Oversee and support the care team on shift
*Ensure care delivery meets CQC standards
*Promote high-quality, resident-focused care
*Mentor, supervise, and guide less experienced staff
*Contribute to care planning and quality monitoring
Requirements for the Senior Care Assistant:
*Minimum 1 year’s experience as a Senior Care Assistant
*NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (essential)
*Strong communication and written skills
*Previous experience in elderly care
*Self-motivated, organised, and resilient
*Able to work independently and as part of a team
*Flexible and dependable, with the ability to work under pressure
