Position; Stores Controller
Location; Witney, Oxfordshire
Salary; £12.50 - £13.50
Planet Recruitment have just registered an exciting new opportunity for a client of ours based in the Witney Area.
Working hours are 8.00a.m. - 4.30p.m. Monday to Thursday (3.30p.m. finish on Friday)
There is an expectation to work overtime and Saturday mornings when required.
The role;
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all warehouse duties within the business and ensuring a smooth process to the day-to-day responsibilities. The role will also require some heavy lifting of goods.
Main responsibilities;
*Following procedures for the day to day operation of the Stores Department in conjunction with the Stores Controller.
*The booking in of items of stock and allocating to the correct location within the department.
*Working with the Stores Controller to ensure that stock levels are maintained and that any shortfalls are reported to production.
*Updating information daily on Tricorn to ensure that Production has the most up to date stock levels.
*Issuing stock items and kitted up parts to Welding/Assembly for processing.
*Visually checking stock items for issues when they arise in to Stores either from Sub-Contractors or if they are manufactured in-house.
*Working together to process all the stock recording on a computerised system and ensuring that accurate and appropriate levels are maintained.
*Ensuring regular liaison with the Stores Controller/Works Supervisor and communicating any problems efficiently.
*Some dealings with the requisitioning of parts.
*Any other ad hoc duties as and when required.
About you;
You will be a hardworking individual ideally with previous warehouse experienced. The successful candidate will need strong organisation skills and strong work ethic.

*A good general engineering background
*Ability to organise and work under pressure
*Effective communicator and assertive approach.
*Computer literacy
*Accurate with figures
