Senior Accounts BookkeeperOffice-Based | Full-Time | Permanent

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, values-led construction business seeking an experienced and detail-focused Senior Accounts Bookkeeper to support the Finance Manager and play a key role within the finance function.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys ownership, structure and accuracy. You’ll be responsible for supporting month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations and day-to-day financial operations within a stable SME environment.

The RoleYou will support the Finance Manager and wider business, ensuring financial records remain accurate, compliant and well managed.
Key duties include:
*Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
*Posting month-end journals
*Maintaining the fixed asset register
*Preparing and submitting VAT returns
*Submitting CIS returns
*Completing intercompany reconciliations
*Supporting purchase and sales ledger
*Assisting with day-to-day transactional processing
This role requires accuracy, reliability and confidence managing multiple finance processes simultaneously.
About You*AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent experience)
*Experience within an SME or owner-managed business
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Comfortable working to deadlines
*Proficient in Microsoft Office and general finance systems
*Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (desirable)
*Payroll experience (desirable)
*CIS / DRC knowledge (desirable)
*Construction industry experience preferred
