Job Advert – Midday Supervisor (Reed Education)
Reed Education are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in the local area for a Midday Supervisor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to play an important role in keeping pupils safe, engaged and happy during the lunchtime period.
Position: Midday Supervisor
Hours: Part-time, Monday to Friday (approx. 1.5–2 hours per day)
Start: Immediate
Location: Local primary school (details provided upon shortlisting)
About the Role
As a Midday Supervisor, you will support children during their lunchtime break, helping to create a positive and safe environment both in the dining hall and in the playground. Your role will involve:
*Supervising children while they eat
*Encouraging healthy routines and good table manners
*Supporting younger or more vulnerable pupils
*Managing behaviour in a calm and consistent way
*Leading or encouraging positive play activities
*Ensuring the playground is safe, inclusive and well-supervised
*Responding to minor accidents or incidents (full training provided)
*Acting as a friendly, reliable and proactive member of the team
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
*Friendly, patient and confident with children
*Able to communicate clearly with pupils and staff
*Vigilant and safety-focused while supervising large groups
*Calm and consistent in managing behaviour
*Approachable, positive and a good role model
*Reliable, punctual and committed
*Happy to work outdoors in all seasons
Experience working with children—whether in a school, nursery, tutoring, youth work or within your own community—is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
