Manufacturing Labourer / Industrial CleanerBarnsley | Monday–Friday | £28,000 – £31,751
We’re recruiting for a hands-on Manufacturing Labourer / Industrial Cleaner to join a heavy industrial operation in Barnsley.
This role is critical to keeping production running safely and efficiently. Cleanliness, organisation and attention to detail directly impact operational performance, safety standards and overall output. If you’re used to working in demanding industrial environments and understand the importance of maintaining high housekeeping standards, this role will suit you.
The RoleYou’ll be responsible for maintaining cleanliness across production areas, supporting operational teams, and ensuring workspaces remain safe, compliant and audit-ready. This is a physically demanding role within a heavy manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities*Industrial cleaning of machinery, plant areas and production equipment
*Removing waste materials and maintaining safe walkways
*Supporting maintenance and production teams with general labouring duties
*Assisting with site housekeeping to meet strict health & safety standards
*Operating industrial cleaning equipment and tools
*Supporting safe handling and movement of materials when required
*Working across different departments as operational needs demand
About YouWe’re looking for someone who has:
*Experience within a heavy manufacturing, process-led or industrial environment
*A strong understanding of workplace health & safety
*Experience in industrial cleaning or labouring roles
*The ability to work in physically demanding conditions
*A proactive, reliable and team-focused attitude
*Flexibility to support different areas of the site when required
This role would suit someone practical, hard-working and comfortable working in an industrial setting where standards and consistency matter.
