Location: Wokingham
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: Competitive, MPS/UPS + TLR (dependent on experience)

About the Role
As Head of MFL, you will:
*Lead and develop a motivated team of language specialists
*Drive curriculum innovation and ensure high-quality teaching across the department
*Promote outstanding outcomes in French, Spanish and/or German
*Oversee assessment, interventions, enrichment and departmental development
*Inspire students to develop linguistic confidence and a lifelong passion for languages
*Contribute actively to whole-school improvement and strategic planning

We are looking for a leader who:
*Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with a strong MFL specialism
*Has a clear vision for excellence in language learning
*Possesses leadership experience or clear leadership potential
*Is committed to raising achievement and widening participation
*Brings energy, creativity and passion to their work
*Is dedicated to supporting the school’s inclusive and aspirational ethos
