Job Description:
Accounts Assistant – 12-Month FTC - OUR CLIENT are a large, well-established and extensive real estate investment and development group with a substantial UK-wide portfolio. They seek an experienced Accounts Assistant for a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave within a stable and high-performing finance team.
The role will focus primarily on bank reconciliations and agent statements, which will account for the majority of the workload, alongside core transactional accounting duties supporting a large property portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
*Bank reconciliations and processing agent statements (using Excel and QUBE).
*Posting rental income and expenditure across a large property portfolio.
*Covering purchase ledger and critical supplier payments.
*Processing credit card transactions.
*Assisting with VAT returns and accounts preparation (time permitting).
The role offers:
*12-month FTC.
*Salary: c. £35,000–£40,000 pro rata.
*Office-based role with free parking.
*9–5 working hours, supporting a strong work/life balance.
This opportunity would suit a confident Accounts Assistant with strong reconciliation experience and a background in property or high-volume environments.
