Job Description:
Are you currently studying AAT Level 3 or 4 or have you recently qualified? If so, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation based in Basingstoke, Hampshire.
In this role, you’ll play a key part in supporting Managers to understand performance, manage budgets with confidence, and drive stronger operational and financial results. Your work will directly influence decision-making and help shape the future direction of the business.
This position is perfect for someone ambitious, inquisitive, and ready to grow in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You’ll gain hands-on experience preparing insightful financial analysis, supporting the planning process, monitoring data quality, and delivering meaningful insights that make a real impact.
Responsibilities will include:
*Assisting with preparing month-end financial performance reports and variance analysis
*Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
*Helping to monitor cost performance and identify efficiency opportunities
*Working with internal teams to provide insight into operational and financial performance
*Assisting in data quality checks across systems and highlighting any issues
*Supporting senior team members in preparing commercial review packs and stakeholder communications
*Getting involved in continuous improvement activity and contributing ideas to enhance processes
Required skills:
*AAT Level 3 or 4 (study ongoing or completed)
*Strong numeracy and good analytical thinking
*Intermediate or advanced Excel skills (pivot tables and lookups etc)
*Good communication skills and confidence working with colleagues across the business
*A proactive attitude with a willingness to develop in a commercial finance environment
*Attention to detail and a methodical approach
Desirable skills:
*Experience in a finance, data or operational support role
*Knowledge of social housing, property services or maintenance environments
*Exposure to systems such as URM, DRS or Keystone
