Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join our client on a 6-9 month interim contract. This is a hands-on role suited to a technically strong accountant who can take immediate ownership of our financial reporting processes, statutory accounts, and year-end deliverables.
You will play a critical role in strengthening our financial control environment, overseeing monthly reporting, and driving process improvements. There is no team management in this position — it’s ideal for someone who enjoys being in the detail and delivering high-quality outputs independently.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead the preparation and delivery of statutory financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards.
*Manage the external audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors.
*Oversee monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy, timely reporting, and strong financial controls.
*Review and enhance existing financial processes, recommending and implementing improvements where required.
*Ensure compliance with internal policies, technical accounting requirements, and regulatory obligations.
*Provide insightful financial analysis to support senior stakeholders during the contract period.
*Support ad-hoc financial projects as needed.
About You *Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
*Strong technical accounting knowledge with proven experience preparing statutory accounts.
*Previous exposure to managing or supporting an audit cycle.
*A proactive, detail-oriented self-starter who can work autonomously.
*Demonstrable experience improving finance processes and controls.
*Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and delivering to tight deadlines.
