Job Description:
About the Role Prospero Teaching are working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Huyton who are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team.
This rewarding role will involve supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will work on a 1:1 basis and with small groups, helping to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities * Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support

* Implement individual learning plans and EHCP targets

* Support pupils’ emotional regulation and behaviour

* Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO

* Foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have * Previous experience supporting children with SEND (school or care setting)

* A calm, patient and resilient approach

* Strong behaviour management skills

* Good communication and teamwork abilities

* A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
